My dearest Plankenpeople,

March rolled out with a flurry — literally. My shows this past weekend in Port Sydney and Toronto were unfortunately canceled due to extreme snow and freezing weather. Not exactly the spring vibe I was hoping for!

The silver lining? I got to spend some bonus time with family — and tonight I’ve been digging through old hard drives, where I found a demo from the early 2000s called "Why Do I Still Dream Of You?" It’s raw, a little rough around the edges. I eventually put a solo acoustic version of it on my album The Speed of Hope, but this version — with me on guitars and Johnny Arredondo on drums — is pretty fun to revisit.

Now that I'm no longer snowed in, I’m looking ahead to warmer weather — and Texas. I’ve got a great run of shows coming up at the end of April, including Old Settler’s Music Festival, plus gigs in Austin, Houston, and New Braunfels. Hope to see some of you there!
