OK so a LONG while back a couple of friendly fans asked me if I would ever consider coming to Hawaii for a house concert and you know I love me some house concerts. It’s finally happening! 4 shows total, 2 on the Big Island and 2 on Kaua’i in mid-January. Click on the links at the bottom. One is sold out already and the other three well let’s see what we can do about selling them out as well. In 2019 I filled in for Scrappy Jud Newcomb in Johnny Nicholas’s band for a little Hawaiian excursion (a rare occasion with me back in a side position) and I have wanted to go back ever since! Special thanks to Kathy and Mel Finkenburg for waiting so long and starting the process, as well at Terry Ewton, and Teri Sugg. Aloha!
Where should I play this year??????
So it’s the beginning of a new year and I am sitting on 2 full-length albums I cannot wait to release. This year is going to be full of music and travel and a lot is mapped out already, but I want to know — where do you want to hear me play this year?
I have tours already booked (but not filled with dates yet) in Canada (mainly Vancouver Island and “The Horseshoe” areas and Montreal). In the United States my beloved Texas of course and Louisiana in March, California in May, Montana in July, plus the Pacific Northwest, and the Midwest. And my cracker-jack team is trying to figure out when is the best time to release the new full band album and tour The Netherlands.
But where else can I play? Have a venue you wish you could come hear me in with the full band or solo? A house concert you wish I would play? A festival or cruise (most of these are booked for 2025 but hey, you never know, right?)
A lot of the places I am playing in 2025 are booked because of fans like YOU. Don’t be shy to put in the comments, and I hope to see you in the coming year.

For the new year I wanted to add a special something to patreon; an unmixed or mastered version of a song I wrote with my great friend and musical cohort for more than 25 years Michael O’Connor. This is for my solo acoustic album and the working title is Songs From The Coastal Bend. It is a slippery and slide-y soul tune and I hope you love it! (only available on patreon.com/jeffplankenhorn
I wish you and yours a safe and happy 2025! Keep in touch — right here!

Come to Spokane, WA. The Bing Theater is a great venue - medium size, good sound, Spokane loves live music.
