I need to write some new songs for my upcoming album recording in April with famed producer Colin Linden, and I figured all I would have to do is book some weekend gigs and I’d be able to offset the cost of such a long trip. I’d already be paying for gas, food and lodging for a solo run, and figured maybe I’d end up with a few new cool places to play and a few new radio stations playing my music in California.
